Scope
Ørsted implemented Spacewell as its global CAFM and workplace management platform across GREWM-managed offices and operational facilities.
As one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, Ørsted manages a large international portfolio of offices and operational facilities. As its Global Real Estate & Workplace Management (GREWM) function expanded, the organization sought greater consistency, visibility, and operational control across workplace and facility management activities worldwide.
The Challenge: Managing Operations Across a Growing Global Portfolio
Their pevious CAFM platform primarily supported maintenance ticket management, making it difficult to establish standardized processes, governance, and reporting across regions. Operational data remained fragmented, reporting relied heavily on manual effort, and workplace utilization insights were limited.
To support a more data-driven approach, Ørsted selected Spacewell as its global workplace and facility management platform.
The Solution: One Platform for Workplace and Facility Management
Today, Spacewell supports workplace and facility operations across 173 global sites. Workplace management, maintenance operations, supplier governance, occupancy analytics, SLA monitoring, and energy management are connected within a single operational environment.
Integrations with QLIK, Power BI, and workplace sensors provide stakeholders with greater visibility into operational performance, while creating insight into how desks, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and other workplace areas are used. Today, 80% of GREWM office space is covered by workplace analytics.
“The biggest improvement has been the visibility and consistency we now have across our workplace and facility management operations globally.” Cameron Harbard, Global Systems Lead, Ørsted
The Results: Greater Visibility, Governance and Operational Consistency
The platform now serves as a centralized operational foundation for workplace, asset, supplier, and energy management, helping Ørsted establish standardized governance, improve reporting visibility, and support data-driven decision-making across its global portfolio.
To support this transformation, the main focus was on:
- Creating a centralized operational foundation
- Connecting workplace, maintenance, supplier, and energy management
- Improving visibility through workplace analytics, sensors, and integrated reporting
