- Spacewell announces enhanced senior leadership structure: former CEO Koen Matthijs is promoted to Chief Division Officer of Nemetschek‘s Operate & Manage Division. Eric Van Bael takes the helm as CEO. Hans Verschuren becomes Chief Revenue Officer and Olaf Zernitz Chief Channel Officer while Steven Lambert takes up the role of Chief Strategy Officer.

Antwerp, April 1st, 2019 – Nemetschek daughter Spacewell, a technology company focused on integrating the entire value chain of real estate, workplace and facility management, today announced a new management structure, effective April 1st.
Koen Matthijs resigns from his post as CEO of Spacewell to fully focus on his new role of Chief Division Officer for Nemetschek’s Operate & Manage Division. In this position he will concentrate on strengthening the portfolio of the Manage Division – including the further development of the solutions from Spacewell and Crem Solutions – and positioning it strategically for the future. Furthermore, he will also serve ad interim as Spacewell’s Chief Technology Officer, to unlock opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of real estate technology.
Eric Van Bael, a former HP top executive, who joined Spacewell in 2017 as VP Global Sales, will take the helm as CEO of Spacewell.
Steven Lambert, previously COO, will take up the role of Chief Strategy Officer, leading strategic initiatives and transformations of the Spacewell operations across multiple continents to enable the ambitious expansion plans. In this role, he is also focused on integrating newly acquired entities, including Axxerion, acquired in January 2019.
