Heteren, 4 July 2019 – In addition to the well-known Axxerion software, which is already being used by 200,000 professionals, Spacewell is now launching Axxerion Go!, a professional IWMS that is available out of the box. Axxerion Go! supports the most common FM processes through standard workflows.
The cloud software allows users to:
- Centralize and organize information – e.g. inventory management, space management, building management, contracts, and contacts
- Efficiently manage processes such as call management, visitor registration, and reservations
- Gain insight through ready-made reports
Standard FM workflows
Good process management is essential to keep all aspects of operations running optimally. This is certainly true in the area of facility management. Through automated workflows in Axxerion Go!, users can quickly, accurately, and cost-efficiently manage frequently used FM processes. Notifications, statuses, service levels, and escalations ensure that tasks are carried out at the right time.
Staff can start using the software very quickly. After entering the relevant data – such as contacts, buildings, spaces, and contracts – and setting up authorizations, users can immediately get to work after a brief instructional introduction.
Scalable and affordable
Spacewell offers the software as a service with a fixed, low price. Thanks to the SaaS model, customers don’t have to worry about maintenance, backups, updates, new versions, etc.
Axxerion Go! is ideally suited as an entry-level software or for smaller companies that can achieve significant savings with a limited investment. The software also offers opportunities for growth: customers can easily upgrade if the need arises to create custom workflows or to link the software to other systems for exchanging information.

At the beginning of April 2019, during a festive moment at the office of the Nidos Foundation in Utrecht, we signed a 4-year contract for the delivery and implementation of Axxerion software.
Nidos protects Minor Refugees
Nidos carries out youth protection (guardianship) for minor refugees. These children, called pupils by Nidos, arrived in the Netherlands alone or accompanied by their families. Nidos guides the pupils to a self-reliant existence until they reach the age of 18. To the extent possible, foster families take in the refugees.
A need for better support of the work processes
Nidos launched a tender procedure in November 2018 to replace the self-built systems PRS (Pupil Registration System), EPD (Electronic Pupil File), EGD (Electronic Family File) and Portal. The organization started this initiative given that these primary systems were no longer able to support the work processes properly. Moreover, there was a lack of integration with the functionality of Exact and ADP software packages.
Integrated approach with flexible workflows
An important objective for the new software is that it enables an integrated approach, so as to obtain an integral insight into the pupil’s situation and the identification of critical process indicators. Furthermore, it is essential that the system offers users the flexibility to modify workflows and authorizations. Finally, it must be easy to generate management, policy and accountability information.
European invitation to tender
Nidos consulted different market parties by means of a Request for Information. After examination, it decided to award the contract on a European scale by means of a public tender procedure. Eventually Nidos opted for the Axxerion software, which offered the best price-quality ratio.
Affinity with youth protection
Nidos also sought a partner with affinity for the target group and the youth protection work that Nidos does. During our demonstration we were able to convince the assessment committee of our acquaintance with youth care. Spacewell supports the vision of Nidos that every pupil should be raised and supported with respect, safety and protection in mind. We hope that our software can contribute to the development of vulnerable minors into independent adults.
Nidos is the only certified institution designated by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security that carries out supervision for refugee children. The organization is the guardian for approximately 4,000 pupils who are accompanied by 350 youth protectors. Nidos’ counselling includes legal, cultural, psychological and social aspects. In total, Nidos has about 500 employees who are organized regionally. The 13 regions carry out the mission based on the centrally established processes.

On 4 March last, the Laurens Foundation and Spacewell signed an agreement for the delivery and implementation of an Axxerion IWMS.
Laurens offers home care, rehabilitation, nursing home care and care in the final phase of life. The organization has approximately 6,000 employees, 33 care locations and over 50 home care service points. This makes Laurens one of the top 5 employers in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Laurens aims to build a future-oriented facility organization, as a strategic part of the entire care process. This matters because facility management activities have a big impact on the satisfaction of the customer and/or loved ones. Laurens is working towards becoming a strongly process-driven organization, which will contribute to the realization of the business objectives. An essential element is a customer-friendly service desk supported by a professional IWMS.
IWMS selection process
In November 2018, Laurens sent out requests for quotations and started an extensive procurement cycle to select a suitable IWMS. Laurens was looking for a flexible solution that would fit in with an agile, centrally managed organization. But also for experience in the healthcare sector. After a thorough selection process, Spacewell’s Axxerion software came out on top.
Meanwhile, the implementation has started, following a phased approach. Firstly, we will set up modules for notifications and work orders, contract management, reservations, requests, service desk, visitor registration and e-procurement. We will also link the IWMS with the existing ERP system. Furthermore, the inventory and management of real estate and spaces will be accommodated. Finally, using different reports and dashboards, overviews will be generated from which analyses can be made.
